Fangcun cards: a daily card and question spreads

Fangcun is a cultural card deck based on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. Draw a card, read its basic meaning, then explore how it relates to your circumstances through conversation. No prior knowledge of the I Ching or birth details is needed to begin.

Pick a format

ReadingCardsWhen it can help
Your daily Fangcun1A point of reflection for the day
Find insight1A fresh perspective on a question
Explore a situation2Consider the present situation and what may change
Make a choice2 or 3Reflect on alternative directions without outsourcing the decision

You may enter a question or skip it. A specific situation makes the later conversation more useful: for example, “I am considering a new job. How can I assess whether it suits me?”

Draw and read

Follow the shuffle, cut, selection and reveal steps. Adjust your selection when the interface allows it, then read the card names, meanings and prompts. Reopening Your daily Fangcun in the same browser can return you to that day's existing card.

A basic meaning explains the card itself. It is not already a personalised analysis using your profile. Choose the conversation action to explain what happened, what concerns you and what you would like to explore.

Six card backs

Open Card back to preview the six designs in My Fangcun deck: Zhu Ming, Li Ming, Run Xia, Hou Zai, Cong Ge and Qu Zhi. The default Li Ming design is available without membership; the other designs follow active membership entitlements. Previewing a design does not change your reading, and card backs do not influence the meaning.

Card fronts currently use hexagram names and text. See Card journal for storage details and Conversations for follow-up rules.
